Join HMTC for the Opening of "Invited to Life" by B.A. Van Sise. This special limited-time exhibit is presented in honor of Irving Roth, a Holocaust survivor featured in the project.
In an effort that would span four years and take him across the country, B.A. Van Sise set out to document the lives of Holocaust survivors in the United States, one by one. "Invited to Life" features the photographic portraits that he created.
This work offers the viewer a fresh opportunity to engage with the stories of survivors who built new lives in the U.S. The photographs also reveal the wide diversity of American Jewish experience and the many ways in which individuals and communities have practiced resilience, remembrance, creativity, and connection.
HMTC is proud to be a co-sponsor of the coffee table book, "Invited to Life" by B.A. Van Sise, featuring portraits of 140 Holocaust survivors. You'll have the option to preorder the book during registration for the event. All books will be autographed. Please note that books will not be available for distribution at the event, and will be mailed out closer to the end of the year when they become available.
