About Dana

3X Emmy-Winning journalist Dana Arschin started working with the HMTC team in September 2022 as the museum’s first-ever Storyteller. She previously worked as an on-air TV reporter and fill-in anchor for Fox 5 and News 12. Dana is a native Long Islander who discovered her passion for journalism at a young age. She made her broadcasting debut in the fifth grade, reporting for her elementary school's first-ever news station— Jackson Broadcasting Kids.

Dana is the proud granddaughter of an Auschwitz Concentration Camp survivor, her Poppy. He passed away at 101 years old in December 2023. Poppy continues to inspire Dana to interview Holocaust survivors and tell their stories.
