CURATOR’S CORNER

In this virtual “Curator’s Corner” from April 21, 2021, the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center’s Museum and Programming Director, Dr. Thorin Tritter, discussed a photograph in the museum taken during the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which was launched on April 19, 1943,. These actions in Warsaw, the largest and symbolically most important act of Jewish resistance during WWII, inspired uprisings in other ghettos (Bialystok and Minsk) and killing centers (Treblinka and Sobibor).
