HMTC Book Club April 16 - A Place to Hide by Ron Balson (on Zoom)

Refugees from Nazi-occupied Austria, Poland and Germany were desperate to escape to America by 1939, and as Hitler swept through Europe, conquering one country after another, one member of the U.S. Consulate in Amsterdam realized he held the key to saving hundreds and perhaps thousands of lives.  Would he make the dangerous decision to use his position to rescue those with no other hope of escape?

Dr. Linda Burghardt, Scholar-in-Residence, will lead the discussion.
