We marked Veterans Day with Thorin Tritter, our Museum and Programming Director, as we explored a photograph of Liberator Herman “Hy” Horowitz, an American GI who was later awarded the title Chevalier, knight, by the nation of France.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, HMTC’s Museum and Programming Director, Dr. Thorin Tritter, hosted a virtual discussion on November 11, 2020, with Rick Beyer, President of the Ghost Army Legacy Project, to talk about this once secret military unit, their accomplishments during WWII, and their connection to both Nassau County and HMTC.
