12th Annual Golf Outing at the

Join the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center at the 12th Annual Golf Outing, Monday, August 2, 2021, at Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, NY. This year’s honoree will be Ivan Dolowich, co-managing partner of Kaufman Dolowich, & Vololuck.

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC)’s Virtual Upstanders Awards took place on May 10, 2021. For the past eleven years, the Friedlander Upstander Awards have been presented to students who have intervened during a bullying incident or act of intolerance. Award recipients are exceptional youth who advocate for those in need or stand up against peer pressure and they are rewarded with an educational scholarship of $5,000 provided by the Claire Friedlander Family Foundation.

This event was a fundraiser in support of HMTC’s Holocaust and Tolerance Education programs for students and adults.

If you couldn’t join us on April 21, now is your chance to join us on April 28 for Outdoor Yoga!

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County (HMTC) presents an Outdoor Yoga Class on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 10 a.m. with yoga instructor, Jolie Bosnjak. The class will take place on the lawn in back of HMTC’s building, which is located on Welwyn Preserve, 100 Crescent Beach Road, Glen Cove, NY.

The class is $15 a person and all proceeds support HMTC’s Holocaust and Tolerance Education programs. Participants should bring their own yoga mats.

Jolie has been practicing yoga for 14 years. Her desire was to find a challenging physical practice to maintain strength and flexibility. In Jolie’s classes you will be encouraged to listen to your body and do what you can. She promoted happiness and joy, as she teaches classes for all abilities. She has four grandsons and is inspired to remain an example to them.

The Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County’s virtual gala concert starring the Israeli singer and Broadway star Dudu Fisher, honoring HMTC’s founder, Holocaust Survivor Boris Chartan took place on January 26, 2021.. The hosts, were Dr. David Langer and Dr. John Boockvar, stars of the Netflix original series, “Lenox Hill.”
