Lynbrook Public School District 20 Board Member

“While President Trump should certainly not be immune from harsh criticism the depiction posted is clearly beyond the pale. The repeated accusations comparing the President of the United States to Adolf Hitler demeans the victims of the Holocaust, the sacrifices of America’s greatest generation in bringing about the liberation and memories of our cherished survivors, and sends a wrong and confusing message to our children. The depiction posted by a member of a school board specifically charged with ensuring the lessons of the Holocaust are passed on, raises the alarm about what students in Public School District # 20 will be taught about WWII and the Holocaust. Our two institutions are both prepared to empower the district’s teachers with appropriate material and programs to ensure that our children learn the true lessons of the past.”
